Currently, the country music radio sector is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their consistent dedication to supporting children and focusing on other charitable initiatives.
Brown is being recognized as the recipient of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, an award given each year to artists who prioritize giving back as a significant aspect of their work.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event occurring on February 29th in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer a supportive environment and opportunities to children from all backgrounds, with a focus on those facing socioeconomic challenges. Brown, who experienced hardships like homelessness, racism, and abuse during his childhood, expressed a desire for the safe and inclusive community that the organization strives to create for young people.
Aside from donating money, such as funding the refurbishment of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also offered personal experiences to children. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local organization, including a dinner where he shared his own story. Additionally, he has been involved in revitalizing a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer has been recognized for his efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, including being honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" in 2022.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award have included artists like Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
