Kane Brown Receives 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award for Dedication to Helping Underprivileged Kids

  • by

Kane Brown has consistently shown support for underprivileged and at-risk youth by advocating for organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America since the beginning of his career as a country artist. This dedication to helping others has recently earned him a significant award.

The country radio industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their long-term dedication to supporting children and prioritizing charitable work.

Brown has been selected as the winner of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, a yearly recognition that acknowledges artists who prioritize giving back in their professional lives.

He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, a special event happening on February 29 in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to give children from all backgrounds, particularly those facing economic challenges, a chance at success and a welcoming community. Brown, who experienced homelessness, racism, and abuse in his own childhood, expressed a desire for the type of supportive environment that the organization strives to create for young people.

Aside from giving money towards causes such as renovating a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also created opportunities for children personally. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local organization, even including dinner and sharing his own story with them. Additionally, he has helped revive a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The country singer has been recognized for his efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America in the past. In 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for his work.

Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, among others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award in the previous year.
