Kane Brown, a popular country artist, has been recognized with a big award for his dedication to helping underprivileged children. Since the beginning of his career, he has been a strong advocate for organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America that offer support and opportunities to at-risk youth.
Currently, the country music radio sector is recognizing the efforts of the singer known for the song "I Can Feel It" in supporting children and focusing on various charitable activities for a long time.
Brown has been selected to receive the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to artists who prioritize giving back in their work.
He will be celebrated during CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29 in Nashville as a part of the Country Radio Seminar for this year.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to create a welcoming environment and opportunities for children, particularly those facing economic challenges. Brown, who faced homelessness, racism, and abuse in his own childhood, expressed regret that he did not have access to the supportive community that the organization strives to offer to young people.
Aside from donating money, such as funding the refurbishment of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also given children chances to experience new things. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 children and 4 adults from a local chapter, treating them to dinner and sharing his personal story with them. Additionally, he has been involved in rebuilding a chapter in his hometown of Chatanooga, Tenn.
The country singer has been recognized for his efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America in the past. In 2022, he was awarded the title of "Champion of Youth" by the organization.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and various others. Tracy Lawrence received the award last year.
