Kane Brown has been recognized for his dedication to supporting underprivileged children by winning a significant award. Throughout his career as a popular country music artist, Brown has consistently shown his support for organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America that aim to help disadvantaged and vulnerable young people.
The country radio industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their dedication to supporting children and their focus on other charitable endeavors.
Brown has been awarded the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to artists who prioritize giving back as a significant aspect of their careers.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, a event happening on February 29th in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer a welcoming environment and opportunities for children, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds. Brown, who experienced homelessness, racism, and abuse during his childhood, has expressed that he wishes he had access to the safe and supportive space that the organization strives to create for young people.
Apart from donating money, such as funding a gym renovation in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also given children opportunities personally. He gave tickets and backstage access to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local chapter, including dinner, while sharing his own story with the group. Additionally, he has helped reestablish a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized in the past. In 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for his work.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award have included Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, among others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award in the previous year.
