Kane Brown has consistently shown support for underprivileged and at-risk youth by being involved with organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America since the beginning of his career in mainstream country music. This dedication to helping others has recently earned him a significant award.
Currently, the country music radio industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their long-standing dedication to supporting children and prioritizing their philanthropic endeavors.
Brown has been selected as the winner of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to artists who prioritize giving back to others in their work.
He will be honored at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29 in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer a supportive environment and opportunities to children, particularly those facing challenges due to their socioeconomic status. Brown, who experienced homelessness, racism, and abuse during his childhood, has expressed a desire for the kind of safe and inclusive community that the organization strives to create for young people.
Apart from donating money, Brown has actively created opportunities for children by giving them tickets and backstage access to an event, along with dinner, where he shared his personal story with them. Additionally, he has been involved in rebuilding a local chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer has been recognized for his contributions to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, being named the organization's "Champion of Youth" in 2022.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and several others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
