Kane Brown Receives 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award for Dedication to Underprivileged Youth

  • by

Kane Brown has been recognized with a major award for his dedication to helping disadvantaged children, particularly through his support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and similar programs that offer opportunities to at-risk youth since the beginning of his career in mainstream country music.

Currently, the country music radio sector is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their ongoing dedication to assisting children and focusing on various charitable endeavors.

Brown has been selected to receive the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to artists who prioritize giving back as a significant aspect of their work.

He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29th in Nashville as a part of the Country Radio Seminar for this year.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to create a supportive and welcoming environment for children from all backgrounds, with a focus on those facing socioeconomic challenges. Brown, who faced hardships like homelessness, racism, and abuse during his childhood, expressed a desire for the type of safe space that the organization offers to young people.

Aside from donating money, such as funding a gym renovation in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also directly supported children by giving them tickets and backstage passes, along with a dinner where he shared his personal story. Additionally, he has been involved in revitalizing a local chapter in his hometown of Chatanooga, Tenn.

The country musician was recognized for his contributions to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America when he was awarded the title of "Champion of Youth" in 2022.

Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and several others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
