Kane Brown has been dedicated to supporting underprivileged and at-risk youth through organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America since he first started his career in mainstream country music. This dedication has recently earned him a significant award.
The country radio industry is recognizing the singer known for "I Can Feel It" for their long-standing dedication to supporting children and focusing on charitable endeavors.
Brown has been selected as the winner of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to artists who prioritize giving back in their professional lives.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29th in Nashville as a part of the Country Radio Seminar for this year.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America strive to offer a sense of belonging and support to children, particularly those facing economic challenges. Brown, who faced homelessness, discrimination, and mistreatment during his own childhood, expressed a desire for the safe and supportive environment that the organization aims to create for young people.
Apart from donating money, such as funding the renovation of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also given children opportunities personally. He gave tickets and backstage access to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local chapter, including dinner, while sharing his own story with them. Additionally, he has been involved in rebuilding a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized in the past. In 2022, he received the title of "Champion of Youth" from the organization for his contributions.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include artists such as Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, among others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
