Kane Brown’s Commitment to Helping Kids Earns Him Prestigious Award: A Look at His Philanthropic Efforts

  • by

Kane Brown has been recognized with a major award for his dedication to supporting underprivileged children through organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Since the beginning of his career in country music, Brown has consistently shown his commitment to helping youth in need.

Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their consistent dedication to supporting children and focusing on charitable endeavors.

Brown has been chosen as the winner of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given yearly to artists who prioritize giving back as a significant aspect of their work.

He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, which is happening on February 29 in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer a welcoming and supportive environment for children from all backgrounds, with a focus on those facing economic hardship. Brown, who experienced homelessness, racism, and abuse during his own childhood, believes that having access to a safe space like the one the organization offers would have greatly benefited him as a young person.

Aside from giving money, such as funding the refurbishment of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also directly offered experiences for children. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local organization, along with a dinner where he shared his personal story with the group. Additionally, he has been involved in rebuilding a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized in the past. In 2022, he was honored by the organization as their "Champion of Youth" for his contributions.

Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, among others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
