Kane Brown has been recognized with a major award for his dedication to helping underprivileged children since he first rose to fame as a country artist. He has consistently shown support for organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America that aim to provide opportunities for at-risk and underprivileged youth.
Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the "I Can Feel It" artist's consistent dedication to supporting children and focusing on other charitable endeavors.
Brown has been selected as the winner of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given each year to artists who prioritize giving back in their professional endeavors.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29 in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to create a welcoming environment and opportunities for children from all backgrounds, with a focus on those from disadvantaged socioeconomic situations. Brown, who faced challenges like homelessness, racism, and abuse during his childhood, expressed a desire for the type of supportive community that the organization strives to offer to young people.
Apart from giving money to support various causes, Brown has also directly helped children by giving them tickets to events and backstage access. He even shared his own story with them and treated them to dinner. Additionally, he has been involved in rebuilding a local chapter in his hometown of Chatanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized before. In 2022, he was given the title of "Champion of Youth" by the organization.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and more. Tracy Lawrence received the award in the previous year.
