Kane Brown has consistently shown his support for underprivileged and at-risk youth by being involved in organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America since the beginning of his career as a popular country artist. This dedication to helping those in need has now earned him a significant award.
Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their ongoing dedication to supporting children and focusing on other charitable endeavors.
Brown has been chosen as the winner of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, an award given each year to recognize artists who prioritize giving back to their communities as a significant aspect of their careers.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, which is happening on February 29th in Nashville as a part of the Country Radio Seminar for this year.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America strives to create a supportive environment for children, particularly those facing economic hardships. Brown, who experienced homelessness, racism, and abuse during his childhood, expressed a desire for a safe place like the organization offers for young people to grow up in.
Aside from donating money, such as funding the remodeling of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also given children chances to experience new things. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 children and 4 adults from a local group, even joining them for dinner and sharing his own personal story. Additionally, he has helped revive a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized in the past. In 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for his work.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and several others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
