Kane Brown’s Dedication to Helping Underprivileged Kids Earns Him Prestigious Award

  • by

Kane Brown has been recognized with a major award for his dedication to supporting underprivileged children through organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Since the beginning of his career in mainstream country music, Brown has been a strong advocate for programs that offer opportunities to at-risk youth.

The country radio industry is recognizing the singer known for "I Can Feel It" for their dedication to supporting children and other charitable endeavors.

Brown has been chosen as the winner of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, a yearly recognition that acknowledges artists who prioritize giving back as a significant aspect of their work.

He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, which is an event happening on Feb. 29 in Nashville as a part of the Country Radio Seminar for this year.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer children from all backgrounds, particularly those facing economic challenges, a chance for growth and belonging in a supportive environment. Brown, who faced struggles such as homelessness, racism, and abuse during his childhood, expressed a desire for the safe and nurturing environment that the organization strives to create for young people.

Aside from donating money, such as funding the remodeling of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also given children chances to experience special opportunities. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 children and 4 adults from a local organization, treating them to dinner and sharing his personal story with them. Additionally, he has been involved in revitalizing a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized in the past as well. In 2022, he was honored as the organization's "Champion of Youth" for that year.

Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and numerous others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
