Kane Brown’s Dedication to Helping Underprivileged Kids Earns Him Prestigious Award

  • by

Kane Brown has been recognized with a big award for his dedication to supporting underprivileged kids through organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Since the beginning of his career in country music, Brown has been a strong advocate for programs that help youth facing challenges and lacking opportunities.

Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their consistent dedication to supporting children and focusing on other charitable activities.

Brown has been chosen as the winner of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, a yearly award that recognizes artists who prioritize giving back as a significant aspect of their professional lives.

He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29 in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of America strives to offer children from all backgrounds, particularly those facing economic challenges, a sense of belonging and opportunities for growth. Brown, who faced hardships like homelessness, racism, and abuse in his own childhood, expressed a desire for the safe and supportive environment that the organization aims to create for young people.

Aside from donating money, such as funding the remodeling of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also personally given children opportunities. He generously gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 children and 4 adults from a local chapter, including a dinner where he shared his own experiences with the group. Additionally, he has been involved in revitalizing a chapter in his hometown of Chatanooga, Tennessee.

The country artist's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized before. In 2022, he was honored with the title of "Champion of Youth" by the organization.

Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, among others. Tracy Lawrence received the award in the previous year.
