Brown has been selected as the winner of the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given out each year to recognize artists who prioritize philanthropy and giving back in their work.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, which is an event happening on February 29 in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer children from all backgrounds, particularly those facing economic challenges, a sense of belonging and opportunities for growth. Brown, who faced homelessness, racism, and abuse during his childhood, expressed a desire for the safe and supportive environment that the organization strives to create for young people.
Apart from donating money, such as funding the remodeling of a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also given children chances for personal growth. He gave tickets and backstage passes to 16 children and 4 adults from a local chapter, treating them to dinner as he shared his own experiences. Additionally, he has put effort into reviving a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer has been recognized for his contributions to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. In 2022, he was awarded the title of "Champion of Youth" by the organization for his efforts.
