Kane Brown has always been a strong advocate for underprivileged and at-risk children, supporting organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America since the beginning of his career as a popular country artist. His dedication to helping these youth has earned him a significant award.
Currently, the country music industry is recognizing the singer known for the song "I Can Feel It" for their continued support of children and focus on philanthropic endeavors.
Brown has been selected to receive the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given annually to artists who prioritize giving back as a significant aspect of their professional endeavors.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, which is happening on February 29th in Nashville as a part of this year's Country Radio Seminar.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to offer a welcoming environment and opportunities for children, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds. Brown, who faced homelessness, racism, and abuse during his childhood, has expressed his desire for having had access to the safe and supportive community that the organization strives to create for young people.
Apart from donating money, such as the donation that helped renovate a gym in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also personally given opportunities to children. He gave tickets and backstage access to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local chapter, treating them to dinner and sharing his own story with them. Additionally, he has been involved in rebuilding a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized, and in 2022 he was awarded the title of "Champion of Youth" by the organization.
Artists who have previously won the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, among others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
