Brown has been selected to receive the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, which is given every year to recognize artists who prioritize giving back in their professional endeavors.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on Feb. 29 in Nashville as a part of the Country Radio Seminar for this year.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to give children from all backgrounds, particularly those facing economic challenges, a chance to thrive in a supportive community. Brown, who faced homelessness, racism, and abuse in his own childhood, believes that having a safe and inclusive environment like the one the organization offers would have greatly benefited him during his youth.
Aside from donating money, Brown has also given children opportunities by providing them with tickets and backstage passes to events. He also shared his personal story with them during a dinner experience. Additionally, he has helped to revive a local chapter in his hometown of Chatanooga, Tenn.
