Kane Brown has been recognized with a significant award for his dedication to supporting underprivileged children. Throughout his career as a popular country artist, he has consistently shown his support for organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America that help at-risk youth gain access to opportunities.
Currently, the country music radio sector is recognizing the singer of "I Can Feel It" for their consistent dedication to supporting children and emphasizing their other charitable activities.
Brown has been chosen to receive the 2024 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award, an award given each year to artists who prioritize giving back to the community in their work.
He will be celebrated at CRS Honors, an event happening on February 29th in Nashville as a part of the Country Radio Seminar for this year.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America strives to offer a supportive community and opportunities to children, particularly those facing economic hardships. Brown, who experienced homelessness, racism, and abuse during his own childhood, believes that having a safe space like the one the organization offers would have greatly benefited him as a young person.
Aside from donating money, such as funding a gym renovation in northeast Ohio in 2022, Brown has also given children opportunities personally. He gave tickets and backstage access to 16 kids and 4 adults from a local chapter, even including dinner in the experience while sharing his own story with them. Additionally, he has been involved in rebuilding a chapter in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The country singer's efforts with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been recognized in the past. In 2022, he was awarded the title of the organization's "Champion of Youth" for his work.
Past recipients of the CRS Artist Humanitarian Award include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, among others. Tracy Lawrence was the recipient of the award last year.
