Keith Urban Drops First Single ‘Straight Line’ Teasing Upcoming Album

  • by

Keith Urban has given fans a taste of his upcoming album with the release of his first single, "Straight Line."

Daniel Kreps reported that Keith Urban has not released new music in four years, but he is making a comeback with his recently released single "Straight Line," which is the first track from his upcoming album.

Urban described "Straight Line" as an ideal opening track for his album because it reflects a desire to break free from everyday monotony and regain the vibrancy and excitement that seemed to have faded over time. He mentioned that the lyrics highlight a past time when life was filled with endless summer-like joy between him and someone else.

The song is about reclaiming control of your life and breaking free from negativity. The artist hopes that listening to this track will evoke the same sense of empowerment as seeing them perform live.

Keith Urban has not released a full album since The Speed of Now Part 1 in 2020. He has been hinting at a new studio album for almost three years now, releasing individual singles like "Wild Hearts," "Nightfalls," "Brown Eyes Baby," and "Street Called Main" since the release of The Speed of Now.
