Sennheiser has introduced a new model of headphones called the HD 490 PRO. According to Sennheiser, these headphones are designed to provide clear sound, comfort, and durability, and are tailored to the needs of today's music producers.

The HD 490 PRO series guarantees a natural frequency response, delivering a dynamic and genuine sound reproduction throughout all audio frequencies with a range of 5Hz – 36.1kHz (-10dB). The headphones come with two different sets of ear pads, tailored for creating and mixing music. This function is aimed at reducing ear strain and enabling precise identification of frequencies during important listening tasks.

The HD 490 PRO headphones feature an open-back design and use neodymium magnets and Sennheiser's unique low-frequency cylinder system to provide a rich and precise low end sound. They are designed to accurately capture low frequencies with clarity.

Sennheiser created these headphones with the goal of providing a comfortable and flexible design that reduces pressure points, ideal for long studio sessions. The HD 490 PRO series features Sennheiser's Open-frame Architecture which helps to minimize sound distortion and resonance.

The headphones come with a plug-in called Dear Reality dearVR MIX-SE that utilizes spatial audio technology to create a virtual mixing space. This space replicates the acoustic characteristics of different real-life mix studios and environments when listening through headphone monitors.

The HD 490 PRO Plus model comes with a longer 3m cable, an extra headband pad, and a carrying case included.

There are two versions available in the HD 490 PRO series – the HD 490 PRO and HD 490 PRO Plus. Each version comes with the HD 490 PRO headphones, a 3.5 mm to 6.3 mm adapter, a 1.8 m cable, mixing ear pads, and producing ear pads. The HD 490 PRO Plus also includes an extra headband pad, a 3 m cable, and a case.

The Sennheiser HD 490 PRO headphones can be purchased currently with the PRO version priced at $399£349 and the PRO Plus version at $479£399.
