Lead singer of Sugar Ray has verified that Kid Rock's lyrics were accurate when he claimed to "get more ass" than Mark McGrath.
The lyrics were taken from Rock's song "Cocky" released in 2001 as part of his album with the same title. In this particular part of the song, the lyrics mention Rock introducing himself as Kid Rock from the old school and boasting about having more money than Matchbox Twenty and getting more attention from women than Mark McGrath.
How was a solution to this question, which has been around for over twenty years, found? It all began when Rock Feed asked on social media if Kid Rock really had more romantic encounters than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after that, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument, and he tagged the lead singer of Sugar Ray in his suggestion.
McGrath responded to the question with a good sense of humor, confirming that he did indeed rhyme "ass" with his name. The singer clarified this through a platform called X, previously known as Twitter.

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's other claim. It would be interesting to compare the financial success of both bands, considering they have been active for four decades.
