The lead singer of Sugar Ray has confirmed that Kid Rock's lyrics about getting more attention from women than Mark McGrath were true.
The lyrics were taken from Kid Rock's song "Cocky" released in 2001 on his album with the same title. In the specific part of the song, the lyrics go: "Do you know who I am? I am Kid Rock from the old school. I have more money than Matchbox Twenty and get more attention from women than Mark McGrath."

McGrath responded to the question in a lighthearted manner, confirming that the person in question did indeed rhyme "ass" with his name. This response was shared by the singer on X (formerly Twitter).
