Lead singer of Sugar Ray confirms that Kid Rock's lyrics about getting more attention from women than Mark McGrath were accurate.
The words were taken from Rock's 2001 song "Cocky" from his album with the same title. The verse includes the lyrics: "Do you even know who I am / I am Kid Rock from the traditional era / I have more money than Matchbox Twenty / I attract more attention than Mark McGrath."
How was a solution found to this question that has been around for over twenty years? The process began when Rock Feed asked on social media whether Kid Rock truly had more romantic encounters than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after that, Finn McKenty, a well-known YouTuber, proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument. McKenty also mentioned McGrath in his post on social media.
McGrath responded to the question with humor, confirming that the person mentioned did indeed rhyme "ass" with his last name. This response was shared through X (formerly known as Twitter).

It is unknown if Matchbox Twenty has responded to Rock's claim. It would be interesting to compare the financial success of both bands, considering they have both been successful for four decades.
