The lead singer of Sugar Ray has confirmed that Kid Rock was telling the truth in his lyrics about "getting more ass" than Mark McGrath.
The lyrics were taken from a song called "Cocky" by Rock in 2001, which was part of his album with the same title. The specific part of the song includes the following lyrics: "Do you really know who I am? I am Kid Rock from the traditional era. I have more wealth than Matchbox Twenty and I attract more attention than Mark McGrath."
How was a question that has been around for over twenty years finally resolved? The process began when Rock Feed asked on social media if Kid Rock truly had more romantic encounters than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should help resolve the argument, and he also mentioned the Sugar Ray vocalist by tagging him.
McGrath responded to the question with a sense of humor, confirming that the person did indeed rhyme "ass" with McGrath. This response was shared by the singer on X (formerly Twitter).

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's other claim. It would be interesting to compare the financial success of both bands, considering they have both been active for four decades.
