The lead singer of Sugar Ray has verified that Kid Rock was truthful in his lyrics claiming he "got more ass" than Mark McGrath.
The lyrics were taken from Rock's song "Cocky" released in 2001 as part of his album with the same title. In this particular part of the song, the lyrics go: "I don't care who you are / I am Kid Rock from the traditional era / I have more money than Matchbox Twenty / I get more attention from women than Mark McGrath."
The question that had been unanswered for over twenty years was finally addressed. Rock Feed initiated the discussion by asking on social media whether Kid Rock had actually received more attention from women than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after, Finn McKenty, a well-known YouTuber, proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument. McKenty also mentioned McGrath by tagging him in the post.
Shortly after, McGrath responded to the question with a sense of humor. He confirmed that the person in question did indeed rhyme "ass" with his last name, McGrath. McGrath's response was shared through X (formerly Twitter).

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's other claim. Since both bands have been active for four decades, it would be interesting to compare their financial success.
