Sugar Ray vocalist confirms that Kid Rock's lyrics about getting more romantic attention than Mark McGrath were accurate. The singer from Sugar Ray has verified that the claims made by the musician in the song "Bawitdaba" were truthful.
The lyrics in question are from a song called "Cocky" by Rock, released in 2001 on an album with the same title. In the verse, Rock proclaims his identity as a seasoned artist and compares his success to that of other musicians.
How was the question that has been around for over twenty years finally answered? It all began when Rock Feed posted on social media asking if Kid Rock really had more romantic success than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after that, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument. McKenty also mentioned McGrath by tagging the Sugar Ray lead singer.
McGrath responded to the question with a good attitude, confirming that the person did indeed rhyme "ass" with McGrath. This response was shared through X (previously known as Twitter).

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's other claim. It would be intriguing to compare the financial success of both bands, as they have been active in the music industry for four decades.
