The lead singer of Sugar Ray has confirmed that Kid Rock was telling the truth in his lyrics about getting more attention from women than Mark McGrath.
The lyrics were taken from a song called "Cocky" by Rock in 2001, which is part of his album with the same title. The specific part of the song contains the lyrics: "I don't know who you are / I am Kid Rock from the traditional school / I have more money than Matchbox Twenty / I get more attention from women than Mark McGrath."
The question that had been around for over twenty years finally got an answer. It all began when Rock Feed asked on social media if Kid Rock really had more success with women than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after this, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument, and he made sure to mention the Sugar Ray vocalist by tagging him.
McGrath responded to the question in a light-hearted manner, confirming that the person did indeed rhyme "ass" with McGrath. The singer's humorous response was made through the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's challenge. It would be intriguing to see how their finances compare, considering both bands have been successful for four decades.
