Lead singer of Sugar Ray, Mark McGrath, has verified that Kid Rock was accurate in his claim that he "got more ass" than him. McGrath confirmed that the lyrics in Kid Rock's song "Bawitdaba" were truthful.
The lyrics were taken from Kid Rock's song "Cocky" released in 2001, which is also the title of his album. The specific part of the song contains the following lyrics: "Do you even know who I am? I am Kid Rock from the classic era. I have more money than Matchbox Twenty and I get more attention from women than Mark McGrath."
The question that had been unanswered for over twenty years was finally resolved. It all began when Rock Feed asked on social media if Kid Rock really had more romantic partners than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after that, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument, and he also mentioned the Sugar Ray vocalist in his post.
McGrath responded to the question in a lighthearted manner, confirming that the person did indeed rhyme "ass" with McGrath. The singer shared their response on X, previously known as Twitter.

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's other claim. It would be intriguing to compare the financial success of both bands, as they have both been successful across four decades.
