The lead singer of Sugar Ray has confirmed that Kid Rock's lyrics about getting more attention from women than Mark McGrath were truthful.
The lyrics in question were taken from Kid Rock's song "Cocky" from his album of the same name released in 2001. In the stanza, Kid Rock asserts his identity and brags about his wealth and popularity compared to other musicians.
The question that had been unanswered for over twenty years was finally addressed. Rock Feed initiated the discussion by asking on social media whether Kid Rock really had more romantic encounters than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after that, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument, and he also mentioned the Sugar Ray vocalist by tagging him.
Soon after, McGrath responded to the question with a sense of humor. He confirmed that the person did indeed rhyme "ass" with his last name, and added that it should clear up any confusion. McGrath made this statement through X (formerly known as Twitter).

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's challenge. It would be intriguing to compare the financial success of both bands, considering they have been popular in four different decades.
