The lead singer of Sugar Ray has verified that Kid Rock's claim in his lyrics about getting more attention from women than Mark McGrath was true.
The words were taken from a song called "Cocky" by Rock in 2001. The specific part of the song includes the lyrics: "Do you even know who I am? I am Kid Rock from the old generation. I have more money than the band Matchbox Twenty and get more attention from women than Mark McGrath."
How was a question that had been lingering for over twenty years finally resolved? It all began when Rock Feed shared a post on social media asking whether Kid Rock truly had more romantic encounters than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after that, Finn McKenty, a well-known YouTuber, recommended that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument. He also tagged the lead singer of Sugar Ray in his suggestion.
McGrath responded to the question in a humoristic way, confirming that the person did in fact rhyme "ass" with "McGrath". This response was shared by the singer through X (previously known as Twitter).

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's other claim. It would be interesting to see how their financials compare, as both bands have been successful in four different decades.
