  • by

The lead singer of Sugar Ray has verified that Kid Rock's lyrics about getting more attention from women than Mark McGrath were accurate.

The lyrics were taken from Rock's song "Cocky" released in 2001 on his album with the same title. In the lyrics, Rock identifies himself as Kid Rock from the old school and boasts about having more money than Matchbox Twenty and getting more attention from women than Mark McGrath.

How did they finally find an answer to a question that has been around for over 20 years? It all began when Rock Feed asked on social media whether Kid Rock really had more romantic encounters than Mark McGrath.

Shortly after, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument, and he also mentioned the Sugar Ray singer by tagging him.

McGrath responded to the question in a light-hearted manner, confirming that the individual did indeed rhyme "ass" with McGrath. The singer clarified this through a platform now known as X, previously Twitter.
