Sugar Ray Singer Confirms Kid Rock Lyrics Were True: Did Kid Rock Really “Get More Ass” Than Mark McGrath?

  • by

The lead singer of Sugar Ray has verified that Kid Rock's lyrics about getting more attention from women than Mark McGrath were accurate.

The words were taken from a song called "Cocky" by Rock, which was released in 2001 on an album with the same title. In the specific part of the song, the lyrics mention Rock introducing himself as Kid Rock from the old school, boasting about having more money than Matchbox Twenty and getting more attention from women than Mark McGrath.

The question of whether Kid Rock or Mark McGrath got more attention was recently answered after Rock Feed asked the question on social media.

Shortly after that, Finn McKenty, a well-known YouTuber, proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument, and he made sure to tag the lead singer of Sugar Ray in his suggestion.

Shortly after, McGrath responded to the question with a sense of humor. He confirmed that the person mentioned did indeed rhyme "ass" with his last name, and he found it amusing. McGrath's response was shared through the platform X, previously known as Twitter.
