Sugar Ray vocalist validates Kid Rock's claim about getting more attention than Mark McGrath. The lead singer of Sugar Ray confirmed that Kid Rock's lyrics were accurate when he boasted about his success with women.
The lyrics were inspired by a song called "Cocky" by Rock from his album with the same title, released in 2001. In one part of the song, the lyrics mention Rock introducing himself as a respected figure in the music industry, comparing his success and popularity to other well-known artists like Matchbox Twenty and Mark McGrath.
The question that had been lingering for over twenty years was finally answered. It all began when Rock Feed asked on social media if Kid Rock really had more romantic encounters than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after that, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should intervene to end the argument, and he also mentioned the Sugar Ray vocalist in his post.
McGrath responded to the question with good humor and confirmed that the person did indeed rhyme "ass" with "McGrath." The singer clarified this through X (formerly Twitter) to clear up any confusion.

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's other statement. It would be intriguing to compare the financials of both bands, considering they have both been successful for four decades.
