The lead singer of Sugar Ray has verified that Kid Rock's lyrics about getting more attention from women than Mark McGrath were accurate.
The words were taken from a song called "Cocky" by Rock in 2001, which was part of his album with the same title. In the particular verse, the lyrics mention how the singer is Kid Rock, who is from the old school and has more money than Matchbox Twenty, and gets more attention from fans than Mark McGrath.
How was a solution found to this question that has been around for over twenty years? It all began when Rock Feed asked on social media if Kid Rock really had more success with women than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after, Finn McKenty, a well-known YouTuber, proposed the idea of having Mark McGrath resolve the argument, and he also mentioned the Sugar Ray singer in his post.
McGrath responded to the question with humor, confirming that the statement was accurate and even complimenting the rhyme used. This response was shared by the singer through X (formerly known as Twitter).

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's challenge. It would be interesting to compare the financial success of both bands, as they have both been successful for four decades.
