Sugar Ray vocalist confirms that Kid Rock's lyrics were accurate when he claimed to "get more ass" than Mark McGrath.
The words were taken from a song called "Cocky" by Rock in 2001, from his album with the same title. In that part of the song, the lyrics go: "Do you even know who I am? I'm Kid Rock, a veteran in the music scene. I have more wealth than Matchbox Twenty and I attract more attention than Mark McGrath."
How was the answer to this long-standing question finally discovered? It all began when Rock Feed asked on social media whether Kid Rock really had more female attention than Mark McGrath.
Shortly after, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument, and he even mentioned the Sugar Ray singer in his post.
McGrath quickly responded with a sense of humor to the question. He confirmed that the person mentioned did indeed rhyme "ass" with his name, and added extra points for creativity. The singer's response was shared through X, which was previously known as Twitter.

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's statement. It would be intriguing to compare the financial success of both bands, as they have both been active for four decades.
