Sugar Ray Singer Confirms Kid Rock Was Right: He “Got More Ass” Than Mark McGrath

  • by

Sugar Ray vocalist verifies that Kid Rock's lyrics about getting more women than Mark McGrath were accurate. The lead singer of Sugar Ray confirmed that the claims made by the musician in his song "Bawitdaba" were truthful.

The lyrics in question are from Kid Rock's song "Cocky" released in 2001 on his album of the same title. In the stanza, Kid Rock boldly proclaims his identity and success by comparing himself to other musicians, stating that he has more money than Matchbox Twenty and gets more attention from women than Mark McGrath.

The question that has been around for over twenty years was recently answered. It all began when Rock Feed shared a post on social media asking if Kid Rock really had more romantic encounters than Mark McGrath.

Shortly after, well-known YouTuber Finn McKenty proposed that Mark McGrath should intervene to resolve the argument, and he also mentioned the Sugar Ray vocalist by tagging him.

McGrath responded to the question in a lighthearted manner, confirming that the person did indeed rhyme "ass" with his name. This response was shared by the singer on X (previously known as Twitter).

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's claim. It would be interesting to see a comparison of their financial success, considering both bands have been active for four decades.
