Sugar Ray Singer Confirms Kid Rock’s Lyrics Were True: Did Kid Rock Really “Get More Ass” Than Mark McGrath?

  • by

The lead singer of Sugar Ray has confirmed that Kid Rock's lyrics about getting more attention from women than Mark McGrath were accurate.

The lyrics were taken from a song called "Cocky" by Rock in 2001, which was part of an album with the same title. In that particular part of the song, the lyrics mention Rock identifying himself as Kid Rock from the old school, boasting about having more money than Matchbox Twenty and getting more attention from women than Mark McGrath.

How did a solution to this long-standing question finally come about? It all began when Rock Feed raised the question on social media, asking if Kid Rock truly had more romantic success than Mark McGrath.

Shortly after, Finn McKenty, a well-known YouTuber, proposed that Mark McGrath should be the one to resolve the argument. McKenty also mentioned McGrath in the post.

McGrath responded promptly and humorously to the question, confirming that the person did indeed rhyme "ass" with McGrath. This clarification was made by the singer through X, previously known as Twitter.

If you were curious, Matchbox Twenty has not responded to Rock's statement. It would be intriguing to compare their financial success, considering both bands have been active for four decades.
