The public beta version of Glitch Pad is currently accessible for 64-bit Windows in both VST2 and VST3 formats.
When NUSofting releases their plugins, they usually make them available for both Windows and Mac users. So, Mac users will most likely have the opportunity to join in on the action when the 1.0 version is released.
The origins of the plugin can be traced back to the release of the Glitch Pad SynC Modular patch in 2002, which occurred several decades ago.
Luigi, the founder of NUSofting, has recently redeveloped the initial algorithm and created an upgraded oscillator, leading to the creation of a brand new VST synthesizer.
The latest edition of the software is programmed in C++ from the ground up and can be accessed in its initial beta version on the developer's website, which you can find through the provided link.
The beta version is completely operational and comes with 23 pre-set options.
Luigi has simplified the process of downloading the plugin by making it a one-click action. Users do not need to provide any personal information or login credentials to obtain the Zip file.

At first look, the interface of Glitch Pad appears to have a lot of information and features to absorb.
In terms of appearance and organization, there is potential for improvement. However, considering that it is a free beta version, one should not expect too much.
Towards the lower part of the user interface, there is a keyboard and a preset selector. Above that, there is a graphical depiction of the waveform.
According to the information displayed on the plugin's interface, users will be able to take part in the beta testing for a period of two months until the end of March 2024.
It is uncertain if the Glitch Pad will be offered as a paid product or released for free after the beta testing. NUSofting has previously released both paid and free versions of their products.

"You should mention in the title that this plugin is only compatible with Windows"… oh, you've already done that. I appreciate it, but unfortunately, it's too late. Now, the complaints from Apple users in the comment section have become a well-known joke within the BPB community.

This is an interesting and amusing tool. It has some good concepts, such as the functionality of the pitch envelope. However, it would be even better if it had a separate low-frequency oscillator (LFO) for each destination, as well as additional shapes, including some unconventional ones, for more effective randomization. It is possible that these improvements are already being worked on since it is in the beta stage, but just in case they are not, it would be great to see them implemented. 🙂

That's great! But I have a complaint. I really miss the feature called "rewire". I believe that if it was still available, these beginner digital audio workstations (DAWs) would be much more helpful. They would easily complement whatever DAW we already use. I find it unbelievable that as technology advances, such a useful feature has been discontinued and not adequately replaced. Sure, there are alternatives like Ableton Link or a Bluetooth plugin, but rewire allowed us to smoothly send and receive MIDI and audio directly from the DAW without any issues or latency, while keeping everything in sync.
