Modular synthesis offers an incredible level of freedom and adaptability. Software platforms such as VCV Rack 2, Reaktor, and Cherry Audio's Voltage Modular are capable of emulating the signal flow of a Eurorack setup.
When it comes to Reaktor, you have the option to directly engage in visually programming DSP. On the other hand, KarmaFX's Synth Modular 2 also follows a similar approach but has its own distinctive design philosophy.
If you're interested in enhancing your collection of virtual modular synthesizers, you can get the KarmaFX Synth Modular 2 at a discounted price of 80% off until February 5th from Audio Plugin Deals.
I am a big fan of the VCV Rack's workflow and I use it often on both Mac and Windows operating systems. However, I find KarmaFX's approach to modular synthesis quite fascinating.
The preset sounds are impressive, although they mainly cater to the genre of trance and its related subgenres.
If you're in search of deep and powerful bass sounds, harsh and intense lead sounds with a gated effect, and rich and atmospheric pads typically found in cinematic music, this tool can easily produce those sounds.
The concept of signal flow in Synth Modular 2 may take some time to fully grasp. However, once you have a good understanding of how to create sounds from the ground up using its modular components, the possibilities are endless.
I have a strong affinity for the possibilities that the sequencer modules offer. Instead of being limited to the traditional knobs found on analog modeled Serge or standard sequencers, the visual elements are more diverse and captivating.
The user interface is visually appealing and user-friendly. It adjusts smoothly to different screen sizes, which is advantageous for users with larger resolution displays. I personally tried out Synth Modular 2 on a 4K monitor and was impressed by its seamless performance and adaptability.
It would be great if you had the ability to freely adjust the size of the window, but that issue can be discussed later. However, considering the price of $39.99, I believe it is worth buying.
Synth Modular 2 works perfectly on Windows computers. However, when I tried using the trial version on my M1 Mac, I faced problems as it automatically switched to Rosetta.
However, there are many things to discover in this particular case. By having access to both a synthesizer and an effects plugin, you have the opportunity to create unique and extraordinary combinations, granted that you are willing to invest the necessary time. It is highly recommended to acquire it as soon as possible, as this sale will not be available for much longer.
Take a look at this amazing offer: Synth Modular 2 is now available at a discounted price of 80% off until February 5th, costing only $39.

An extremely fascinating add-on
However, the identical promotion was available on Pluginomat in the previous month.
I am curious if Karma FX has set the price too high, considering the frequent sales they are offering.

I share the same opinion as Humanoid. In my view, the price is set too high considering the fact that it is often available for purchase at a discounted price
I want to alert anyone who plans to buy this product that you will only receive either a MacOS or a Windows version, not both. So, if you purchase it for Mac and later decide to deactivate it and use it on Windows, you won't be able to do so. This software is licensed for use on only one operating system, which I find impractical since I work on multiple platforms.
I made the purchase two years ago. The sound quality and versatility are satisfactory, although it didn't impress me greatly. The CPU usage is moderate, which is expected for modular synths. It would be great to have different options for its appearance. The user interface is a bit cumbersome. I would consider it to be decent for a modular synth, but overall it is rather average in my perspective.
