Modular synthesis offers a great deal of freedom and flexibility. Software platforms such as VCV Rack 2, Reaktor, and Cherry Audio's Voltage Modular allow users to replicate the signal flow of a Eurorack setup.
For Reaktor, you have the option to immediately start visually programming DSP. However, KarmaFX's Synth Modular 2 has its own unique design philosophy while also following a similar approach.
If you're looking to enhance your collection of virtual modular synthesizers, you can get the KarmaFX Synth Modular 2 at a discounted price of 80% off until February 5th on Audio Plugin Deals.
I am a big fan of the VCV Rack workflow and I often use it on both Mac and Windows operating systems. However, I find KarmaFX's approach to modular synthesis to be very interesting.
The default settings produce excellent sounds, although they are primarily designed for trance music and its related subgenres.
If you are searching for deep and powerful bass plucks, harsh and intense gated leads, and rich and resonant cinematic pads, this tool can easily produce those sounds.
The learning process of understanding the signal flow in Synth Modular 2 can be a bit challenging. However, once you have mastered the programming of creating a sound from the ground up using its modular components, there are endless possibilities and potential.
I have a strong preference for the possibilities offered by sequencer modules. Instead of being limited to the traditional knobs found on a Serge or a regular sequencer, there is a greater emphasis on visual elements.
The user interface of Synth Modular 2 is user-friendly and easily understandable. It adapts well to different screen sizes, making it advantageous for users with larger resolutions. I personally tried it on a 4K monitor and was satisfied with its ability to perform smoothly.
It would be great if you had the option to freely adjust the size of the window, but that complaint can be discussed another time. Nonetheless, considering the price of $39.99, I believe it is a worthwhile investment.
Synth Modular 2 performs excellently on computers running Windows operating system. Nonetheless, when I tested the trial version on my M1 Mac, I faced some problems as it automatically switched to Rosetta.
However, there are many things to discover in this offering. You will have the opportunity to utilize a synthesizer and an effects plugin, allowing you to generate unique and mind-blowing combinations if you are willing to invest the necessary time. It is advisable to acquire it promptly as this sale will not be available for much longer.
Take a look at this amazing offer: Synth Modular 2 is currently 80% off until February 5th, priced at only $39.99.

An incredibly intriguing add-on.
However, the identical offer was available on Pluginomat during the previous month.
I am curious if Karma FX has set their prices too high because they are frequently offering sales.

I share the same opinion as Humanoid. In my view, the price set for it is too high considering the fact that it is often available at a discounted price
I want to give a heads up to anyone planning to buy this product that it comes with a choice between a MacOS or a Windows version. Unfortunately, you cannot have both versions if you purchase it. So, if you originally buy it for Mac and later decide to switch to Windows, you won't be able to deactivate it and use it on the new operating system. This product only allows for a single OS license, which I find impractical since I work on multiple platforms.
I made the purchase two years ago. The sound quality and versatility are satisfactory, but it didn't impress me significantly. The CPU usage is moderate, which is expected for modular synths. It would be great to have some different designs for it. The user interface is a bit cumbersome. I would consider it decent for a modular synth, but overall, it is fairly average in my opinion.
