Get 80% OFF KarmaFX Synth Modular 2: A Review of the Virtual Instrument and Its Features

  • by

Universal Audio's Electronic Music Bundle is currently on sale, with a whopping 95% discount. For a limited time, you can also get KarmaFX Synth Modular 2 at a discounted price of 80%. Audio Plugin Deals is the platform offering this special offer on the virtual instrument by KarmaFX.

The freedom and flexibility of modular synthesis are worth mentioning. Software platforms such as VCV Rack 2, Reaktor, and Cherry Audio's Voltage Modular have the ability to replicate the signal flow of a Eurorack setup.

For Reaktor, users have the option to directly engage in visually programming DSP. On the other hand, KarmaFX's Synth Modular 2 follows a comparable approach but with its own unique design philosophy.

If you're interested in expanding your virtual modular synthesizer collection, you can get the KarmaFX Synth Modular 2 at a discounted price of 80% off on Audio Plugin Deals until February 5th.

I really love the way VCV Rack works and I often use it on both Mac and Windows. However, I find KarmaFX's approach to modular synthesis quite fascinating.

The pre-set sounds are impressive, though they mainly cater to the trance genre and its related subgenres.

If you are searching for deep and impactful bass plucks, harsh and intense gated leads, and rich and atmospheric cinematic pads, it is very capable of producing those sounds.

Understanding the signal flow of Synth Modular 2 may require some time to grasp. However, once you become familiar with programming a sound by utilizing its modular components, there are endless possibilities for creativity and exploration.

I have a strong appreciation for the possibilities offered by the sequencer modules. Unlike being limited to the traditional analog knobs found in a Serge or regular sequencer, these modules provide a more visually engaging experience.

The user interface is easily understandable and legible. It adjusts effectively to fit the size of your screen, which is advantageous if you have a higher resolution. I personally tried out Synth Modular 2 on a 4K monitor and I was satisfied with its smooth performance.

I hope that there was an option to resize the window without any restrictions, but I will address this concern at a later time. However, considering the price of $39.99, I believe it is a worthwhile investment.

Synth Modular 2 functions excellently on computers running Windows operating system. Nevertheless, when I experimented with the trial version on my M1 Mac, I faced difficulties as it automatically switched to Rosetta.

However, there are many opportunities for exploration in this offering. With the inclusion of a synthesizer and effects plugin, you have the potential to create unique and mind-bending combinations, provided you invest the necessary time and effort. It is advisable to acquire it promptly as this sale will not be available for long.

Take a look at this offer: Synth Modular 2 is currently on sale at a discount of 80% until February 5th, with a price of $39.

An extremely fascinating plugin

However, the identical promotion was available on Pluginomat during the previous month.

I'm curious if Karma FX has set their prices too high considering the number of sales they are currently offering.

I share the same opinion as Humanoid. In my view, the price of the item is set too high considering the fact that it is frequently available for purchase at

I wanted to give a heads-up to anyone planning to purchase this product – when you make the purchase, you will only receive either a MacOS version or a Windows version. Unfortunately, you cannot have both. So, if you initially purchase it for Mac but later decide to deactivate it and use it on Windows, that won't be possible. This product only allows for a single operating system license. Personally, I find this decision quite unwise since I often work on multiple platforms.

I made the purchase two years ago. The sound quality and versatility are satisfactory, but it didn't amaze me. The CPU usage is moderate, which is expected for modular synths. It would be great to have some different visual designs for it. The user-friendliness is a bit cumbersome. I would consider it to be decent for a modular synth, but overall it is rather average in my personal opinion.
