Modular synthesis offers a remarkable sense of freedom and adaptability. Software platforms such as VCV Rack 2, Reaktor, and Cherry Audio's Voltage Modular have the ability to replicate the signal flow found in a physical Eurorack setup.
When it comes to Reaktor, you have the option to directly engage in visually programming digital signal processing (DSP). On the other hand, KarmaFX's Synth Modular 2 also adopts a similar approach but has its unique design philosophy.
If you're looking to enhance your collection of virtual modular synths, you can get the KarmaFX Synth Modular 2 at a discount of 80% from Audio Plugin Deals until February 5th.
I really love the way VCV Rack works and I often use it on both Mac and Windows operating systems. However, I find KarmaFX's approach to modular synthesis to be very fascinating.
The pre-set sounds are impressive, although they mainly focus on trance music and its related subgenres.
If you're in search of sharp and resonant bass plucks, harsh gated leads, and rich cinematic pads, it can easily handle those sounds.
Synth Modular 2 may take some time to understand how its signal flow works. However, once you have mastered programming a sound from the ground up using its modular components, the possibilities are endless.
I personally have a strong admiration for the possibilities that sequencer modules offer. Instead of being limited to the analog modeled knobs commonly found on a Serge or a typical sequencer, these modules provide a more visually captivating experience.
The user interface of Synth Modular 2 is designed to be user-friendly and visually appealing. It adjusts smoothly to different screen sizes, making it advantageous for users with larger resolutions. I personally tried using Synth Modular 2 on a 4K monitor and was impressed by its seamless performance and adaptability.
I hope that the ability to freely adjust the size of the window was available, but that is a complaint that I will discuss at another time. However, considering the price of $39.99, I believe it is a worthwhile purchase.
Synth Modular 2 operates smoothly on Windows computers. Nevertheless, when I experimented with the trial version on my M1 Mac, I faced difficulties as it automatically defaulted to using Rosetta.
However, there are many things to discover in this software. It offers both a synthesizer and effects plugin, allowing you to create unique and mind-blowing combinations if you are willing to invest the necessary time. It is recommended to take advantage of this sale as it won't be available for long.
Take a look at this great offer: Synth Modular 2 is currently on sale for 80% off until February 5th, priced at only $39.99.

An extremely captivating plugin
However, the identical promotion was available on Pluginomat during the previous month.
I am curious if Karma FX has set their prices too high since they are currently having numerous sales.

I concur with Humanoid's viewpoint that the price set for it is excessive, especially considering the fact that it is often available for purchase at a discounted price of
I would like to inform everyone who is considering buying this product that you will only receive either a MacOS or a Windows version, not both. In case you purchase it for Mac but later decide to deactivate it and switch to using it on Windows, you will not be able to do so. This product only allows for a single operating system license, which I personally find to be quite impractical since I work on multiple platforms.
I made the purchase two years ago. The sound quality and flexibility are satisfactory, but it didn't exceed my expectations. The CPU usage is moderate (considering that modular synths tend to require high CPU usage), which is acceptable. It would be great to have some different skins for it. The usability is a bit cumbersome. I would consider it to be decent for a modular synth, but overall it is rather average in my opinion.
