Save Big on KarmaFX Synth Modular 2: A Flexible and Powerful Virtual Modular Synth

  • by

Universal Audio's Electronic Music Bundle is currently available at a whopping 95% discount. For a limited time, you can also enjoy an 80% discount on KarmaFX Synth Modular 2, a virtual instrument offered by Audio Plugin Deals.

Modular synthesis offers a great level of freedom and flexibility. Various platforms such as VCV Rack 2, Reaktor, and Cherry Audio's Voltage Modular have the ability to replicate the signal flow of a Eurorack setup.

With Reaktor, you have the ability to start programming DSP through a visual interface right away. KarmaFX's Synth Modular 2 follows a similar concept but has its own unique design philosophy.

If you're interested in expanding your collection of virtual modular synths, you can get the KarmaFX Synth Modular 2 at a discounted price of 80% off from Audio Plugin Deals until February 5th.

I really love using the VCV Rack workflow and I often use it on both Mac and Windows operating systems. However, KarmaFX's approach to modular synthesis is very interesting to me.

The preset sounds are excellent, although they are mostly focused on trance music and its related subgenres.

If you are in search of deep and precise bass sounds, harsh and controlled lead sounds, and rich and resonant cinematic pads, it can easily produce those.

The learning curve for understanding the signal flow of Synth Modular 2 may be a bit challenging. However, once you have mastered programming a sound from the ground up using its modular components, there are endless possibilities and potential for creativity.

I have a strong affinity for the possibilities that the sequencer modules offer. Unlike being limited to the analog modeled knobs found in a Serge or a typical sequencer, these modules provide a more visually immersive experience.

The user interface is straightforward and easily understandable. It adapts effectively to the size of your screen, which is advantageous if you have a higher resolution display. I personally tried Synth Modular 2 on a 4K monitor and was satisfied with its smooth performance.

I hope that the window could be easily resized without any restrictions, but that's a complaint that can be addressed later. However, considering the price of $39.99, I believe it's a worthwhile purchase.

Synth Modular 2 performs excellently on Windows computers. Nonetheless, while experimenting with the trial version on my M1 Mac, I faced problems as it automatically switched to running on Rosetta.

However, there are many things to discover and experiment with in this situation. By having both a synthesizer and effects plugin, you have the opportunity to create extraordinary combinations if you are willing to invest time and effort. It is advisable to obtain it promptly as this sale will not be available for much longer.

Take a look at this offer: Synth Modular 2 is currently discounted by 80% until February 5th, and you can purchase it for only $39.99

An incredibly intriguing plugin.

However, Pluginomat had previously made the same offer available last month.

I am curious if Karma FX has set the price too high because they have been offering numerous sales.

My name is Matthew B.

I share the same viewpoint as Humanoid. In my opinion, the price set for it is too high, especially considering the fact that it is often available for purchase

I would like to caution anyone who plans to purchase this product that you can only choose between a MacOS or a Windows version. Unfortunately, you cannot have both. If you initially buy it for Mac but later decide to deactivate it and use it on Windows, you will not be able to do so. This means that the license only covers one operating system. Personally, I think this is quite impractical since I frequently work on different platforms.

I made the purchase two years ago. The sound quality and versatility are satisfactory, but it didn't impress me greatly. The CPU usage is moderate, which is expected for modular synths. It would be great to have some different visual styles for it. The user interface is a bit cumbersome. I would consider it decent for a modular synth, but overall, I find it to be fairly average.
