Unlock Your Creativity with Midi Maker: A Free Tool for Generating Music

  • by

Save 95% on the Electronic Music Bundle from Universal Audio. Midi Maker is a tool that generates music for free, using a random approach. This tool is designed to assist you in effortlessly and rapidly creating fresh music.

There are multiple methods to begin a new musical piece, such as commencing with a melody, a harmonic progression, a specific rhythm, and more. Midi Maker is a complimentary tool designed to assist individuals in generating fresh music efficiently and effortlessly.

The manner in which you begin something has a significant impact on how it will unfold. For instance, establishing harmony and structure will shape the melody, while rhythm can influence the arrangement, and vice versa.

Many musicians believe that there is a specific method that is superior, but ultimately, the most effective approach is whatever works for you. Personally, I have always avoided sticking to a particular approach and instead allowed things to unfold naturally, even when it comes to personal projects, without being too rigid about the genre.

The advantage of having more creative freedom is that it allows for greater flexibility and innovation. However, the disadvantage is that excessive freedom can sometimes result in a creative block, similar to when I spend more time searching for movies on Netflix rather than actually watching them. It can also lead to reduced productivity in contrast to using a more organized and structured approach.

Sometimes, full unrestricted freedom is not feasible due to existing rules and regulations that we must adhere to. In such instances, utilizing a tool like Midi Maker can be immensely beneficial.

Midi Maker is a tool that creates unique music by using a combination of polysynths, drum machines, and chord patterns. It takes into account the preferences set by the user, such as genre, structure, tempo, and key, and then generates new music based on those characteristics. Additionally, the generator offers more advanced options for the user to customize.

After mastering the basics, you have the freedom to decide the number of chords, melodies, and other elements you want to include in your music. If you choose to incorporate multiple chords, you can determine the type of harmonic development you want, whether it be Static, Sectional, or Progressive. Additionally, you have the flexibility to adjust the number of variations within each section of your

After you have prepared yourself to create music, Midi Maker will guide you to the following page. On this page, you will be able to listen to a preview of your creation and make changes to the melodies, bass, chords, drum machine, and chord patterns.

Every component has different options and settings that can be adjusted, including Envelopes, Density, Timing, and Velocities. You have the ability to make changes in real-time and immediately listen to the updated outcomes in the playback, which only takes a few seconds.

Although there are numerous settings available for customization, the process of generation relies solely on randomness rather than AI and machine learning in relation to those settings. The advantage of incorporating randomness is that it guarantees the creation of unique and less commonplace outcomes.

Once you are satisfied with your outcomes, you have the option to download the MIDI file and import it into your digital audio workstation (DAW) or software for additional enhancements and progress.

There are two versions of Midi Maker available. The Free version allows users to download one time per month and only supports a time signature of 4/4. On the other hand, the Premium version costs £19.50 per month and offers unlimited downloads, supports any time signature, and includes the

By registering at this moment, you have the opportunity to receive a 50% discount for the initial three months. Any assistance that facilitates the initiation of a concept is highly valuable, particularly for individuals who frequently require generating a substantial amount of content.

I thoroughly enjoyed using Midi Maker and was pleasantly surprised by its capabilities. It serves as a captivating tool to spark creativity, and I have high hopes for its future development, expecting it to improve and expand further.

My main worry is that the Premium version will struggle to persuade users to spend their money on it instead of other options, due to the high prices of products in general. However, only time will reveal the outcome.

If you are using Windows and have not yet explored the newest offering from Variety of Sound called epicCLOUDS, I highly recommend doing so.

It's already too late to greet someone with a "Happy New Year" without being ridiculed, but as this is my initial post of 2024, I would like to extend my well wishes to everyone and express my pleasure in returning.

Take a look at this offer: Midi Maker offers both a free version and a premium version which costs £19.50 per month.

I agree with the sentiment expressed here. Often, developers believe that their ideas are highly valuable and unique, as if the bigger companies won't copy and incorporate them into their own products. This has happened multiple times in the past year. While I wish them well, they need to be more realistic in their expectations. After all, it's not like they are putting in any additional effort after compiling their creations.

Contrary to the negative individuals in the comment section, I found myself quite impressed with its capabilities. If I frequently purchase MIDI packs, MidiMaker would be a more suitable option for me.

However, requesting $20 per month for a specialized product such as this is a significant demand. Personally, I would rather create my own melodies and rhythms, as it feels more authentic to me. The Midimaker software does not align well with my usual work process and financial situation, making it difficult to justify subscribing. Additionally, I have a strong dislike for subscription models and I am confident that my opinion on this matter will never change.

I must confess that if the product required a single payment at a reasonable price, I might think about using it during those moments when I find myself lacking creativity and in need of some inspiration, or when I'm feeling bored and just want to experiment in my digital audio workstation for a couple of hours.

I believe it would be beneficial for the developer to reconsider the current pricing strategy and explore alternative options, such as introducing a subscription model or providing additional choices for users. Regardless of the decision, I genuinely wish the developer success as their product is of high quality.

I believe that inspiration can come from anything, and I don't judge the source. It could be the sound of rain, exploring a new genre through a MIDI pack, or even a piece of generative code. Everyone has their own preferences. Instead of saying "whatever floats your boat," I could say "whatever makes your cat meow." Oh well, I shouldn't dismiss the work that comes out of these inspirations. Personally, I have relied on CodeFN42's RandARP and Transition many times because the constrained randomisation they offer is a great source of inspiration. These tools are truly helpful. As for the subscription model, I understand that some people may get used to it, but I personally can't handle it. 🙂 I hope the developer finds their audience. Maybe adding a third pricing option in the middle (with full capabilities but limited usage per day) would attract more users and help them determine if they truly need it. The competition is tough. :/

There are various plugins like Orb, Captain, and Harvest that offer similar features. Additionally, there are other plugins such as Atlas and XO that also provide similar functionalities. However, the subscriptions for these types of plugins are not ideal.

I believe I mentioned this before, but it's possible that my comment didn't get posted. There are several software options available, such as Atlas, Captain Epic, XO, Harvest, Phrasebox, and Orb Plugins, that provide similar functionality without requiring a subscription. It seems like a poor decision to opt for a subscription-based service. While it might seem interesting, I personally wouldn't spend my time on something that I can simply buy for a similar price.

At times, beginning a new song can be challenging, particularly when you're not feeling particularly creative. Midi Maker appears to be a useful tool that can provide a plethora of creative opportunities. I plan on utilizing this software for a few upcoming projects to test its capabilities. This article has motivated me to create music using Midi Maker.

James, I'm interested to know how many projects you're embarking on at the moment?
