Unlock Your Creativity with Midi Maker: A Free Tool for Generating New Music

  • by

Save 95% on the Electronic Music Bundle from Universal Audio. Midi Maker is a music generator tool that is completely free and operates on the concept of randomness. This tool assists users in effortlessly and swiftly creating new music.

When it comes to beginning a new composition, there are various approaches you can take. Whether it be starting with the melody, a harmonic progression, a specific rhythm, or something else entirely, Midi Maker is a valuable tool that aids in the quick and effortless creation of new music. Best of all, it is available for free.

How you begin something can greatly impact, and perhaps even determine, the course of everything that follows. For instance, having a sense of harmony and structure will shape the direction of the melody, while the rhythm can also influence the way phrases are constructed, and vice versa.

Certain musicians believe that one approach is superior, but ultimately, whatever method works for you is the most effective. Personally, I have always avoided fixating on a specific approach and preferred to go with the flow, even to the extent of not being overly concerned about the genre of my personal endeavors.

On one hand, having more creative freedom allows for greater flexibility and expression. However, on the other hand, excessive freedom can often result in creative block, similar to the situation when I spend excessive time searching for movies on Netflix rather than actually watching them. Additionally, it can also lead to decreased productivity when compared to following a more organized and structured approach

In certain situations, having complete freedom is not always possible due to the existence of pre-established guidelines that must be adhered to. However, a tool like Midi Maker can prove to be immensely beneficial in such cases.

Midi Maker is a tool that creates new music in a random manner by utilizing polysynths, drum machines, and chord patterns based on specific user preferences. This generator gives you the ability to choose the fundamental aspects of your song, such as genre, structure, tempo, and key. Additionally, it allows you to customize more complex settings to further tailor the music to your liking.

After mastering the basic principles, you have the freedom to decide on the number of chords, melodies, and other elements you want to incorporate. If you choose to use multiple chords, you can classify the harmonic progression as Static, Sectional, or Progressive. Additionally, you have the flexibility to modify the number of variations within each section.

After you have completed your preparations, Midi Maker will guide you to the following screen. Here, you can listen to a preview of your music and make any necessary modifications to the melodies, basslines, chords, drum patterns, and chord sequences.

Every component provides different options and settings to customize, like Envelopes, Density, Timing, and Velocities. You have the ability to make adjustments in real-time and instantly listen to the updated outcomes.

Although there are numerous settings available for experimentation, the process of generation primarily relies on randomness instead of employing AI and machine learning. The advantage of incorporating randomness is that it ensures the production of distinct and non-generic results consistently.

Once you are satisfied with the outcomes, you have the option to download the MIDI file and insert it into your digital audio workstation (DAW) or software for further enhancement.

There are two versions of Midi Maker available. The Free version allows users to download one file per month and only supports the 4/4 time signature. On the other hand, the Premium version costs £19.50 per month and offers unlimited downloads. It also supports any time signature and includes the

By enrolling at this moment, you have the opportunity to receive a 50% discount on your initial three months. Any assistance that facilitates initiating a concept is highly valuable, particularly for individuals who consistently require generating a substantial amount of content.

I thoroughly enjoyed using Midi Maker and was pleasantly surprised by its capabilities. It proved to be a fascinating tool for initiating the creative process, and I believe it will continue to grow and improve in the future.

My main worry is that the Premium version may struggle to convince users to invest their money in it instead of other options, as prices are generally high in all areas. However, only time will tell if it can overcome this strong competition.

If you use Windows and haven't tried out epicCLOUDS, the latest free offering from Variety of Sound, you should definitely give it a go!

It is already too late to say Happy New Year without receiving ridicule, but as this is my initial post of the year 2024, I would like to extend my well wishes to everyone and express my happiness in returning.

Take a look at this offer: Midi Maker is available in a free version or a premium version for £19.50 per month.

I agree with the statement that these developers often believe that their ideas are unique and valuable, and that they assume larger companies won't copy them and include them as an accessory to their products. We have witnessed this occurrence multiple times in the past year. I wish them luck, but they need to have a realistic perspective. It's not as if they are putting in any effort after assembling the components.

Contrary to the negative comments, I found the capabilities of MidiMaker quite impressive. If I were someone who frequently purchases MIDI packs, MidiMaker would be a more suitable choice for me.

However, requesting $20 per month for a specialized product like this is a significant demand. Personally, I would rather create my own melodies and rhythms instead of feeling like I'm taking shortcuts. Midimaker does not align well with my usual way of working and it does not fit within my budget to justify subscribing. Additionally, I have a strong aversion towards subscription models and I am confident that my stance on this will never alter.

I must confess that if the product had a single, affordable payment, I would be inclined to think about using it during moments when I feel creatively stuck and require some inspiration. It could also be useful if I'm feeling bored and want to spend a couple of hours experimenting in my digital audio workstation (DAW).

I think it would be beneficial if the developer considers making adjustments to the pricing and introducing a combination of the subscription model, or at the very least provides an alternative option. Nonetheless, I wish the developer success as they have created a commendable product.

I believe that inspiration can be found in anything, and I don't judge where it comes from. It could be the sound of rain, exploring a new genre through a MIDI pack, or even a piece of code that generates music. Whatever brings you inspiration is what matters. Or should I say, whatever makes your cat meow? Anyway, I don't want to criticize something that obviously requires effort. Personally, I have found CodeFN42's RandARP and Transition to be incredibly helpful tools for generating music through constrained randomization. They have definitely sparked my creativity. As for the subscription model, I understand that some people may become accustomed to it, but I personally cannot get on board with it. 🙂 I hope the developer finds their target audience. Perhaps introducing a third pricing option in the middle (offering full capabilities but with a limit of one use per day, for example) could attract more users and help them determine if they really need it. The competition in this field is intense. :/

There are various plugins like Orb, Captain, and Harvest that offer similar functionalities. Additionally, there are other plugins such as Atlas and XO. However, the subscription model for these types of plugins is not very favorable.

I believed that I had already mentioned this, but it's possible that my comment did not get posted. There are various software options available, such as Atlas, Captain Epic, XO, Harvest, Phrasebox, and Orb Plugins, that offer similar functionalities without requiring a subscription. It seems like a poor decision to choose a subscription-based service. While it might be interesting, I personally wouldn't invest my time in it when I can simply purchase a similar product at a comparable price.

At times, it can be challenging to begin composing a new song, particularly when lacking creativity. Midi Maker appears to be a useful tool that offers a plethora of creative possibilities for your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). I plan on utilizing this software for upcoming projects to assess its true capabilities. This article has motivated me to explore music creation through Midi Maker.

James, I'm interested to know how many projects you're embarking on at the moment.
