Discover the Power of AutoBeat: A Free AI Drum Sequencer Plugin for Windows and Mac

  • by

Save a whopping 95% on Universal Audio's Electronic Music Bundle. Autobeat is a drum sequencer plugin powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and it is absolutely free. Axart Software recently launched this plugin, which is compatible with both Windows and macOS. While there is a paid version of AutoBeat available, you can get started with the free version

Artificial intelligence (AI) is currently a popular and trending topic. We have previously discussed AI music generators that are available for free. However, AI technology is now being utilized for additional purposes such as creating MIDI compositions, editing audio, and various other applications.

I have prior knowledge of Axart Software and their impressive mKer sequencer suite designed for iPads. However, it was unexpected to discover that they also offer an AI-powered drum sequencer for both Windows and Mac operating systems.

AutoBeat offers both a paid and free version of their software. However, even with the free version, there are numerous features and functionalities to discover. With that in mind, let's delve further into the details and examine what AutoBeat has to offer.

Autobeat's main feature is its range of genres that can be used to create drum beats. There are a total of 8 genres to choose from, including popular electronic styles such as house, techno, and DnB.

Additionally, there are a total of 12 tracks available for use, which should be sufficient for the majority of MIDI-based drum machines on both Windows and Mac operating systems. In my personal experience, I found it beneficial to combine Autobeat with Algonaut's Atlas.

Since I was already using AI, I decided to fully embrace it and aim for the highest level of success possible.

You have the option to choose the thickness, size, and strength of each design. Additionally, the randomization dial adds a touch of organized disorder to the combination.

In my experience, I discovered that setting it to approximately 25% yielded the most effective results. Otherwise, I observed that things started to become more abstract rapidly.

With Autobeat's paid version, you have the ability to export MIDI to any drum machine plugin that you prefer. If you are comfortable with routing MIDI, then you are in for a pleasant surprise.

I appreciate the flexibility of being able to customize the mapping of elements according to my workflow preferences. The interface is user-friendly and easy to understand, and it offers the convenience of having separate mute and solo controls for each of the 12 tracks. Moreover, I can save multiple patterns with a total of 128 patterns stored across 8 prompts.

If you're struggling with creativity in creating percussive elements, Autobeat is worth trying. However, I had to make some adjustments to specifically focus on the elements of my Atlas kits that I wanted to work on.

However, once I had perfected it, I was ready to get started and make progress quickly!

Autobeat can be used on both Windows and Mac computers. It is specifically designed to work smoothly on Apple Silicon, which is quite impressive and satisfying.

Get AutoBeat now by downloading it, with options for both free and paid versions

The program is not functioning properly for me and is causing my digital audio workstation (Samplitude) to freeze. As a result, I have uninstalled it due to the negative experience

When using it in Ableton, the software creates MIDI data but does not produce any sound. To hear the sound, you have to use a channel and route the MIDI into a separate channel that has a drum kit or VST (Virtual Studio Technology) instrument in it.

I'm sorry, but "

Hmm, now it has completely ceased to function.

I'm sorry

Whenever I try to click on a button in FL Studio, the software crashes immediately.

This is not artificial intelligence at all, but rather a collection of patterns.

I tested it with Ableton Live 11 on a Dell G5s Ryzen 17 with 16GB of RAM running Windows 10. I installed and loaded a VST in a MIDI channel, as well as loaded a Live Impulse drum app. I followed a video tutorial and discovered that I needed to route the MIDI channel to the drum VST in order to hear any sound. However, when I linked and played it, there was no sound. I tried a different app and attempted to assign the MIDI notes to the loaded samples, but still no sound. I decided to uninstall it. Instead, I found it more efficient to manually load the VST3 and DLL for Speedrum Lite, load it into Live, and create my own drum notes in a "random" pattern.

The Axart website is not accessible anymore. This raises some suspicion…

The code is calling the getElementById function to get the element with the ID "ak_js_1". It then sets the attribute "value" of that element to the current time in milliseconds.
