Save 95% on Universal Audio's Electronic Music Bundle. Autobeat is a drum sequencer plugin powered by artificial intelligence and it is available for free. Axart Software recently launched AutoBeat, a drum sequencer plugin for Windows and macOS, with an option to upgrade to a paid version.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is currently a very popular topic. We have previously discussed AI music generators, but now AI is being utilized for additional purposes such as creating MIDI files, editing audio, and many other applications.

I have previous knowledge of the team at Axart Software because of their impressive mKer sequencer suite designed for the iPad. However, it came as a surprise to me that they also offer an AI-powered drum sequencer for both Windows and Mac operating systems.

Although AutoBeat offers a paid version, there are still numerous features to discover in the free version. Therefore, let's delve further into the software and examine its capabilities.

Autobeat offers a range of music genres specifically designed to create drum beats. There are 8 genres available to choose from, including popular electronic genres such as house, techno, and DnB.

Additionally, there are a total of 12 tracks available for use, which should be sufficient for the majority of MIDI-based drum machines used on both Windows and Mac operating systems. Personally, I found it useful to utilize Autobeat in conjunction with Algonaut's Atlas.

Since I was already using AI, I thought it would be worth going all out and aiming for the highest level of success.

You have the option to choose how dense, long, and intense each pattern will be. The randomization dial also adds a touch of organized chaos to the combination.

In my experience, I discovered that setting it to approximately 25% yielded the best results. I observed that if set higher, things tended to become more abstract at a

With Autobeat's premium version, users have the ability to export MIDI files to any drum machine plugin they prefer. If you are comfortable with setting up MIDI routing, you will definitely enjoy this feature.

I appreciate the flexibility of being able to customize the way things are organized to suit my workflow. The user interface is intuitive and easy to understand, and there are separate controls for muting and soloing each of the 12 tracks. Furthermore, it is possible to save multiple patterns, with a total of 128 patterns being stored across 8 prompts.

If you're struggling with finding inspiration for percussive elements, Autobeat is a great option to consider. However, I did have to make some adjustments to focus on specific elements of my Atlas kits that I wanted to work on.

Once I had figured it out and made all the necessary adjustments, I was able to proceed quickly and efficiently.

The Autobeat software can be used on both Windows and Mac computers. It is specifically designed to work seamlessly on Apple Silicon devices, which is exciting to observe.

This software is not functioning properly for me and is causing my Digital Audio Workstation (Samplitude) to freeze. It is causing inconvenience, so I have decided to uninstall it once

I am sorry, but "

When you use it in Ableton, it creates MIDI data but does not produce any sound. To hear the sound, you must run it in a channel and route the MIDI into a different channel that has a drum kit or virtual instrument (VST) loaded in it.

Sorry, but I cannot generate

Oh no, now it has completely ceased to function

Sorry, but

Whenever I click on any button in FL Studio, it immediately causes the program to crash.

This is completely worthless. There is no form of artificial intelligence present, just a collection of patterns.

I experimented with Ableton Live 11 on my Dell G5s Ryzen 17 running Windows 10, which has 16GB of RAM. I installed and loaded a VST in a MIDI channel, and also loaded a Live Impulse drum application. I followed a video tutorial and discovered that I needed to route the MIDI channel to connect with the drum VST. I linked everything and pressed play, but there was no sound. I attempted the process again with a different application in order to assign the MIDI notes to the loaded samples, but still experienced no sound. Eventually, I decided to uninstall the applications. It was quicker for me to manually load the VST3 and DLL Speedrum Lite, load it into Live, and manually create my own drum notes for a "random" pattern.
