Universal Audio is offering a massive discount of 95% on their Electronic Music Bundle. Additionally, Autobeat, an AI drum sequencer plugin, is now available for free. Artificial intelligence (AI) is currently a popular and highly talked about topic. In addition to the previously mentioned free AI music generators, this technology is now being utilized for MIDI generation, audio editing, and various other purposes.
I have prior knowledge of Axart Software and their impressive mKer sequencer suite for the iPad. However, it came as a surprise to learn that they have also developed an AI-powered drum sequencer for both Windows and Mac operating systems.
While AutoBeat does offer a paid option, there is still a lot to discover and explore with the free version. Therefore, let's delve further into it and examine its features.
Autobeat focuses on a variety of music genres to create drum beats. There are 8 genres to choose from, including electronic styles such as house, techno, and DnB.
Additionally, there are a total of 12 tracks available for use, which should be sufficient for the majority of MIDI-based drum machines that are compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems. Personally, I found it convenient to utilize Autobeat in conjunction with Algonaut's Atlas.
Since I had the opportunity to utilize AI, I decided to fully embrace it and aim for the highest level of success possible.
You have the ability to choose the thickness, size, and strength of each design. The randomization feature also adds a touch of organized disorder to the combination.
In my experience, I discovered that setting it to approximately 25% yielded the optimal results. I observed that without this setting, things tended to become abstract rather rapidly.
With Autobeat's paid version, you have the ability to export MIDI to any drum machine plugin that you prefer. If you are comfortable with routing MIDI, then you are in for a delightful experience.
I appreciate the flexibility of being able to customize the mapping of things to suit my workflow. The interface is intuitive and easy to understand, and there are separate mute and solo options for each of the 12 tracks. Additionally, it is possible to save multiple patterns, with a total of 128 patterns stored across 8 prompts.
If you're struggling with creativity when it comes to percussive elements, Autobeat is a great option to consider. I personally had to make some adjustments to specifically focus on the elements of my Atlas kits that I wanted to improve.
Once I had figured it out, I quickly started making progress!
Autobeat can be used on both Windows and Mac computers. It is designed to work seamlessly with Apple Silicon, which is definitely a great feature.
Get AutoBeat by downloading it (both free and paid versions are available).

The software doesn't function properly on my computer and causes my digital audio workstation (Samplitude) to freeze. It's frustrating and I had to uninstall it once more.
I'm sorry, but the
When using it in Ableton, the software creates MIDI data but does not produce any sound. Therefore, you must run it in a channel and direct the MIDI into a separate channel that has a drum kit or virtual instrument (VST) loaded in it.

Hmm, now it has completely ceased to function…
I'm sorry
Whenever I try to click on any button in FL Studio, the program crashes immediately.

This is rubbish. It lacks any form of artificial intelligence and is simply a collection of patterns.
Reginald,
I tested it with Ableton Live 11 on a Dell G5s Ryzen 17 with 16GB of RAM running Windows 10. I installed and loaded a VST in a MIDI channel and also loaded a Live Impulse drum application. I followed a video tutorial and discovered that I needed to route the MIDI channel to send data to the drum VST. However, when I linked everything and hit play, there was no sound. I tried again with a different application, hoping to assign the MIDI notes to the loaded samples, but still no sound. I decided to uninstall the application. It was quicker for me to manually load the VST3 and DLL Speedrum Lite, load it into Live, and create my own drum notes for a "random" pattern.

The Axart website is no longer accessible, which raises some suspicions.
