Chris Young Exonerated: Charges Dropped Following Nashville Bar Arrest

  • by

Chris Young has been found not guilty of all charges following his arrest at a bar in Nashville.

Chris Young, a country artist, has been declared innocent after being accused of getting into a dispute with an agent from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission. Consequently, he was arrested on Monday evening.

Nashville District Attorney Glenn Fun released a statement on Friday, announcing that the charges against Chris Young will be dropped after a thorough examination of all the evidence in the case.

Young was accused of committing disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting an officer. The incident reportedly occurred during a regular check conducted by the TABC at bars located on Demonbreun Hill, a well-known area with multiple nightclubs in Nashville. While the TABC was inspecting identification and license cards of customers at Tin Roof bar, Young provided his identification but then proceeded to question and film the agents.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by Rolling Stone, the agent stated that Young prevented the agents from leaving the Dawg House and physically stopped the agent by placing his hands on the agent's shoulder. However, surveillance video from the night of the arrest seemed to contradict the claims that Young assaulted the officer during the incident on Monday night.

After the arrest, Young's lawyer, Bill Ramsey, expressed disagreement with the arrest and requested that the charges be dismissed.

Ramsey, the lawyer representing my client Chris Young, strongly believes that the incident that took place at a bar in Nashville on Monday night was unjust and Chris Young should not have been arrested or charged. Ramsey insists that, considering the video evidence, the Tennessee ABC should dismiss the charges against Chris Young and issue an apology for the physical, emotional, and professional damage caused to him.
