Chris Young confidently responded to the critics and negativity he received after having all charges dropped following his arrest last Monday.
Using social media, the singer shared a surveillance video along with a message directed towards those who accused him of being at fault for touching a law enforcement agent.
On Friday, the Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk declared that he had concluded his examination of the evidence, resulting in the dismissal of charges. The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission had previously acknowledged their actions of urging Young to "create distance" after he attempted to intervene in their license check.
The video obtained by Taste of Country portrays Young attempting to stop an agent without displaying much aggression. From one angle, it raises doubt as to whether he even made physical contact with the man.
The singer of the song "Young Love & Saturday Nights" claims that he did not physically make contact with anyone. He has recently posted a video on his TikTok account where he addresses the incident for the very first time.
In response to those who are criticizing him, claiming that he should not have physically engaged with a police officer, he clarifies that he did not make any physical contact with the officer.
Since all charges have been dismissed, Young is no longer facing any legal consequences. He will probably resume his efforts to promote his forthcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Night, which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
