Chris Young Cleared of Assault Charges: Singer Responds to ‘Trolls’ and Sets the Record Straight

  • by

Chris Young confidently responded to his critics after having all the assault charges against him dropped following his arrest on Monday.

The artist used social media to share a surveillance video and send a message to those who accused him of wrongdoing for touching a law enforcement officer.

On Friday, Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk declared that he had completed his examination of the evidence and decided to dismiss the charges. The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission had acknowledged their involvement in pressuring Young to "create distance" after he attempted to intervene in their license check.

Taste of Country has acquired a video that shows Young attempting to restrain an agent without displaying much aggression. From one perspective, it is unclear whether he made any physical contact with the man.

The singer of the song "Young Love & Saturday Nights" claims that he did not physically make contact with anyone. In a recent TikTok video, he addresses the incident publicly for the first time.

"I didn't physically make any contact with the police officer," he states in response to the individuals who are advising against any form of interaction with law enforcement.

Since all charges have been dismissed, Young is no longer legally affected by the incident. He will probably resume his promotional activities for his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Night, which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
