Chris Young Clears His Name: Assault Charges Dropped and Trolls Put in Their Place

Chris Young confidently responded to critics after being exonerated of all accusations following his arrest last Monday.

The vocalist used social media to share a surveillance video and address those who claimed he was at fault for touching a law enforcement officer.

On Friday, the Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk declared that he had completed his examination of the evidence and decided to dismiss the charges. The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission had already acknowledged that they had urged Young to keep his distance after he attempted to intervene in their license check.

Taste of Country has obtained a video which depicts Young's behavior as non-aggressive while attempting to prevent an agent. There is uncertainty from one perspective regarding whether Young actually made physical contact with the man.

The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" claims that he did not physically make contact with anyone. He has recently released a video on TikTok where he addresses the incident publicly for the first time.

In response to those who are criticizing him by saying "Do not touch a police officer," the individual clarifies that they did not physically make contact with the officer.

Now that all charges have been dismissed, Young is no longer legally affected by the incident. He can now focus on promoting his highly anticipated album, Young Love & Saturday Night, which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
